I adopted Cupid on Valentine’s Day, 2002.
He has been my best friend and companion since. A couple of years ago, he had his yearly blood test which revealed he had elevated liver enzymes - this proved to be a tumour. He was only given a few weeks to live.
He wasn’t showing any outwards signs of being unwell and we had a great, proactive Vet who set out a clear treatment plan. But I wanted to do more for Cupid – I wanted to do anything and everything I could to make him happy, well, and comfortable.
That’s when I found Mandi. For the last two years, Mandi has given Cupid frequent, long-distance Reiki treatments and what a relief it has been!
Cupid has had some ups and downs but Mandi has been there to provide Reiki through it all, and each time Cupid has come out on top.
He is now 15 years (and three months!) and he just had a check-up yesterday. He has put on 400g and his physical exam was perfect.
I know I have been lucky to find an excellent Vet for Cupid, but I also know that without Mandi’s ongoing support and Reiki (and not just for Cupid, but for me as well) that Cupid wouldn’t be doing as well as he is.
Cupid is always so relaxed after a good Reiki session. He has some of his deepest sleeps, and then it is like he’s been recharged!
I love seeing the physical and medical improvements as well.
